Legitimate Love

I wish you will discover
that wonderful satisfaction
of legitimate love.
Just wait and see,
I know how true it is.

Their love was
something deeper,
something divine and
involuntary,
it was her deepest wish.

I wish you would say
you love me.

I have
a single wish,
my whole being is yearning
so unwaveringly,
for you.

In her dreams
time would stop
in a place of emptiness
of every unfulfilled wish,
and every unspoken word.

I resolved to master a new spirit
and wish for strength
in this
unlikely hour.

His ghost watched her
draw the curtains
across empty air.
She wished he was still alive,
surely her uneventful life
was nothing
waiting for him.
