Like Magic

To be different from people
is like magic.

She was the sort
to fall for
people who ran away.
Love is
a variable so wild
it can feel like breathing
or dying.

The soft flame of
beautiful emotions are in
vague, veiled eyes.
People pretend to
feel nothing.

Do not look to people
to bring happiness.
Only your heart
can be your guiding light,
an intuition
for growth.

People criticize a woman
who gives up love,
yet no one criticizes the man
for the same story.
The woman bears the blame
in love and life.

I reflect at the people under
the spell of illusion,
they start the day confident and speak
with self-assurance
but have no power.

What a life!
There are still kind people
in this world - together,
we deserve to have it all.

Do not sit
instead,
run madly
in a crowd of busy people.
It is so easy to drift
and rush, or rather,
flail
in aimless routine.

It will do me good
to write among
kind-hearted people.
