Posted on July 15, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
Sitting all drowsy and warm

I had never felt so happy
escaping
into a novel.

Full of Life

Posted on June 25, 2020October 26, 2022 by Erin B.
Her spirit and heart came round
out of doors: She would be happy
entirely alone,
and every breath so
full of life.

There Was Something

Posted on May 23, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
There was something... wild,

make them happy.

Infinite Calm

Posted on May 7, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
His form and hers, of perfect peace.
The infinite calm
seldom frenzied or despairing
a shadowless eternity boundless in love.
One might doubt
the presence of asserted tranquility.
Do you believe such people are happy?
I'd give a great deal to know.

My happiness does not interest him.
I selfish, got up and
left him.
It's human nature.

Existence of Happiness

Posted on May 2, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
It is strange
how the existence of happiness
completes your heart
even when body is gone.
Men seldom cherish
the solace of declining years.
