Unfamiliar Country

In a place of
unfamiliar country,
my hair tousled in invigorating air
and exhilaration.
I was happy, undoubtedly.

I am
a wild mass of hair
lost
in the world.

I am helpless
with lips grazing my skin,
fingers around my ear,
and my every hair
standing on end.

weaker
small brain
less hair
inferiority...
men say what they think
of women.
