Depraved Wretch

I remained
enveloped in darkness,
a depraved wretch of despair.
My creation of delirium,
such ravings of insanity.

We drift in
eternal space.
A slow progression,
a ghostly limbo.
Light and darkness
over water.

Darkness of the Night

Posted on February 20, 2022August 2, 2022 by Erin B.
My life force
is a dreary November night.
The rain against the panes
my candle nearly burnt out,
the glimmer
infusing life into me.
People did not understand
I was borne into the darkness of the night.

She stood there,
together in the midnight darkness
with her lover. They swayed and stumbled forward
over the edge
locked in death's embrace.

surrounded by darkness

It Grew Dark

Posted on April 21, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
It seemed a long while,
days of his absence.
No signs of his coming, and it grew dark.
it's as dark as if it came from the devil.
Nobody could understand.

Posted on April 11, 2020August 4, 2022 by Erin B.
A velvet darkness of winter
and the swarming snow particles
vaporing off in distance.
My little paradise.
