Life Beating

Life beating around us
is a remarkable gravity
perfumed in
sublime sweetness.

Love and hate
are honest feelings
that life
demands in her own voice
and power.

Extend compassion
and take care of yourself.
Find a way to smile.

A desire to protect
is love.

She shut her eyes,
drowning in desire. This was
beyond compare and she found only
a fleeting glimpse
of alarm.

Have an incredible
lust for life: a heart
beating a new beginning.
Open your eyes,
the world is out there.

I am reckless
in my life.
The rush of each thrill
burns brightly,
searing me in a desire
for distraction
as a desperate attempt
to feel something.

This feeling of
hopelessness
is real pain.

We consume, corrupt, destroy -
earth is no longer
of use; it is a grave.

I am a stranger to myself with
mysterious motives,
yearning for freedom and danger.
