Patience

In life
the key is patience.

My veins of ice
and such chilliness
does not alarm me.
I require to be alone.

The sound of laughter
is beyond
words, reminding us
we are human.

This was, in words
simply contentment, unlike
any other,
feel these quiet moments
with me. Stay
a few minutes
and look at the stars.

If I had
the chance to live
would I take it?
Would I do more? Or nothing?

Her soul is beginning to
lift in the stillness
and accept
her own worthiness.

That mysterious woman
could knock a man dead - bright eyes
that carry him
in cold water and blue.

Vengeance burned
within me, and pursued the
desire of my soul.

I have anxiety about
female assertion -
being both female and writer.
Female creativity is both 
fascinating and frightening to critics.

I need
respect,
more than love.
