You Seek Happiness

You seek happiness, but
allow tranquility
to be absorbed by gloom
and melancholy.

Desire and despair,
they were like magnets
that clashed,
colliding again and again,
obsessively
all her life.

Everyday life
was much more than
to just survive.

The panic was starting,
I didn't recognize myself,
I lost all trace
of me, that young woman
is a ghost.

This pain, it will be permanent
not constant.
You won't die but
you won't banish it.

The strength
human beings have
is extraordinary.

We drift in
eternal space.
A slow progression,
a ghostly limbo.
Light and darkness
over water.

A love like
Romeo and Juliet is beautiful
but silly.

We couldn't undo the past,
it was true.
You're just afraid
you did not know how to forget
that place
in your life.

The world whispers
truth. Hear the buried treasures,
of tales in hushed voices
and allow the voices in the ether
to be heeded.
